Do you want an older,
more experienced friend who can help you be successful in school?
Then sign up for mentoring! ESA launched the Mentoring Program in
June 2006 and has been promoting it since then. Now, it is also
called Success Counseling.
What is mentoring? It is a means by which mentors take the role of
learning, facilitators who are concerned about the effective
performance of the student in school and school-related activities.
The mentor guides the student to craft his personal vision-mission
statement, draw up realistic goals and expectations, set the pace
for learning, live a balanced and well-rounded life, practice time
management, |
and acquire positive life
and study habits. Big task? Yes, but with determination, daily
effort, and good humor, it can be done!
How is mentoring carried out? Planning, analysis, and monitoring is
done through six meetings in a term : the mentor and student meet
every two weeks. Each meeting is a chance to be energized and be
motivated to continue the challenge of building success. As a house
is built brick by brick, success is built by daily effort and
struggle!
How can I join?: If you want to be mentored and be part of the
Mentoring Program, approach Ms. Leah Macatang-ay. You will be
assigned a mentor for the term. |
